L’ensemble des Ministrings a été fondé en 2002 dans le cadre du Conservatoire de Lausanne (Suisse) par Tina Strinning, professeure de violon, d’alto et de didactique. En 2013, elle est rejointe par Baiju Bhatt, violoniste actif dans le jazz et les musiques actuelles.
Les Ministrings sont parrainés par le violoniste Gilles Apap, avec qui ils ont eu l’opportunité de suivre des master class et de se produire en concert.
Entre tournée à Istanbul, Paris, Budapest ou Barcelone les Ministrings font leur chemin avec bonheur et fraîcheur.
Ces enfants s’engagent dès l’âge de 7 ans dans une démarche exigeante et originale. Soutenus souvent par leurs aînés, ils apprennent à prendre des responsabilités et à tenir un rôle actif tant sur le plan musical que scénique. Ils se produisent sur scène de manière totalement autonome et libre de toute partition.
Beaucoup de leurs musiques sont enrichies de chorégraphies de groupe. Le spectacle est haut en couleur, joyeux et singulier. Il en découle un magnifique apprentissage des valeurs artistiques et sociales ainsi qu’un développement de la personnalité de chacun dans un cadre enthousiasmant.
Le travail investi d’expression et de mouvement, d’improvisation et de créativité ainsi que les nombreux projets vécus en commun créent de forts liens d’amitié et de musique entre les enfants ; il en émane des ensembles divers, comme Krysalid, les BAMS, Oct’Opus, ou le Bazar Quartet qui continueront leur route ensemble dans le futur.
Les Ministrings ont obtenu à plusieurs reprises un 1er prix avec mention à la finale nationale du Concours Suisse de Musique pour la Jeunesse. Ils enchaînent avec une facilité déconcertante les concerts et les tournées en Suisse, en Europe, et, en projet, dans le monde. Depuis la fondation de cet ensemble, plusieurs générations de musiciens se sont succédées.
Les Ministrings transmettent au travers de leur présence et de leurs musiques dites « du voyage » une énergie enthousiasmante qui ne laisse personne sur le quai !
The Ministrings orchestra was founded in 2002 by Tina Strinning, professor of violin, viola, and pedagogy at the Conservatory of Lausanne. In 2013 she was joined by violinist Baiju Bhatt, active in the jazz and contemporary music scenes. The Ministrings are mentored by the violinist Gilles Apap, with whom they have taken masterclasses, and who has on occasion joined them on stage.
Touring in Istanbul, Paris, Budapest, Barcelona, and elsewhere, the Ministrings blaze their trail with freshness and good cheer. The children follow an original and demanding approach from as young as age seven. With the support of the older ones, they learn to take responsibility and play an active role with regard to their music, as well as the stage performance.
They perform in a totally autonomous way, free of any music notation. Most of the pieces played are enriched with a choreography developed as a group, resulting in a colorful, joyous, and singular performance. The result is a magnificent lesson of artistic and social values, and the personal development of each child in an enthusiastic environment.
The investment of expression and movement, of improvisation and creativity, as well as the numerous projects experienced together, creates strong bonds of friendship and common musical interests among the kids, resulting in the formation of various ensembles such as Krysalid, the BAMS, Oct’Opus, and the Bazar Quartet, assuring a continuity into the future.
The Ministrings have several times received the first prize with special mention at the national final of the Swiss Youth Music Competition. They perform with surprising ease from one concert or tour to the next, in Switzerland, Europe, and further afield.
Since the founding of the group in 2002, several generations of Ministrings have come and gone, emanating through their presence, and their “traveling” music, an enthusiastic energy that leaves no one behind!
